Small office space
For this project the client wanted to create private offices, where a large open space currently was as well as redo the lighting to suit the users needs better. Since the space was without any natural light, and in a long narrow shape – our concept was to keep the feel of openness while still creating private work stations for each individual user. We did this by using movable glass partitions that only reached a height of 7’-3”. By keeping the height low and using glass wherever possible, this allowed the office to still feel open despite the size and lack of natural light. We also replaced all of the lighting, and used full spectrum light bulbs which is used for computer workstations as well as feels more like day light then a warmer colour light bulb. In laying out the offices, our goal was to create flow through the space. As you can see in the floor plan, we used this idea to create other uses within the space utilizing all the square footage within the area.

Private Residence
In this home, the main concept was contrast. Using various textures and materials - a modern, clean feeling was created within a unique floor plan that was custom designed to step outside the typical 'cookie cutter' home. Details such as a floor to ceiling fireplace with 1/2" reveals, floor to ceiling windows making the 9' ceilings feel like 12, and a white brick wall making it feel like a New York apartment all added to the unique quality of the space. In the master bedroom, a lowered partition separating the walk-in-closet not only makes the room feel larger, but adds light through the space. It was all about light and space development in this home. Windows allowing beautiful rays of sun and space planning that utilized every square inch is what made this 1600 sq.ft. home feel double it's size!
